As 2020 draws to a close and we look ahead to 2021, foremost in our thoughts is the COVID-19 pandemic that has severely impacted many businesses in our country and the economy as a whole. Enterprises across Ireland showed their agility and resilience in meeting the immediate challenges the crisis thrust upon them.
We worked hard to support enterprises in the wider logistics sector by providing subsidised training programmes specifically designed to make a real impact on these businesses. Our Certificate in Customs Compliance and Trade Facilitation was the first programme in Ireland to be recognised by Revenue as an approved training programme for AEO applicants. Our ‘Brexit and Your Business’ webinar series informed and help prepare businesses for what is still an uncertain Brexit. We continue to deliver the ‘Clear Customs’ programme for Skillnet Ireland, ensuring that businesses can complete customs declarations in-house.
Thank you to all our member companies and learners who trusted us to meet their training and education needs in 2020. Thank you to our trainers who worked with us to provide the highest quality training. Thank you to our Steering Group, CILT Ireland and Skillnet Ireland. Finally, from myself, thank you to the amazing staff of CILT Skillnet who make the magic happen.
On behalf of the CILT Skillnet team I wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas, a happy and peaceful new year and every success for 2021.
